LPG/CNG Service Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Car needed 5 year inspection to LPG system before renew Tax. Found this place close to where my Wife works.

Professional service, quality work, immaculate workplace, highly recommended.

Inspection using leak detectors - no soapy water - 500 baht.

Had them change all hoses too, reroute some.

At least you can rely on soapy water ... an electric leak detector ...did you look to see if it had a battery inside .....

I'm just old school.Gas is for cooking .Diesel is for Boats n Comercials. Petrol is for Cars ,and Batteries for Golf Carts and Fruit Cakes.[emoji466]️[emoji23]

I guess I'm just "new school" and run my car on LPG, which, at today's price, is roughly 1/2 the cost of petrol.

E85 is New School 19 a liter and don't wait all day to fill up. [emoji3]

You may be mistaking LPG for CNG. I have never had to wait at all to fill LPG

But driving by the CNG stations, and seeing the lineups, I would not go down that road.

And as was posted above, 1/2 price compared to 95 on a baht per km cost

The shop looks a lot better than the one I've been using.

Does the owner (or any of the staff) speak English?

A little - I brought my wife so that was not a problem.

FYI - new multi-port system 24,000 baht complete w/tank. Saves 1 baht per km they say

It's OK with a little.

I already have LPG on both of my cars; but it sounds interesting with the multi-port system.

PS! The times, I have brought my wife with me (for explaining) did not make it easier!!!.

Mine struggles with the lingo too, but asking the same question a different way - using different terms - seems to work.

the Tech there is good tho - he knows what I am talking about, even tho the wife cant tell him !!

Reasonably easy to workout ...add 20-25% to the cost of each litre of LPG to take into account the reduction in performance.

You will know your km/ltr on gasoline ...so can then workout your relative baht/km.

If you want the truth you need to factor in the cost of conversion.

You will definately win financially if you kms/year are high. Unless your engine isn't suitable to run on LPG.

My wifes 20 year old Mazda Lantis is on LPG and seems to achieve about the same baht/km as the Fiesta Ecoboost we have.

Any requirements to install lpg tank?

Not sure what you mean. The system must be confirmed safe by an engineer. Your installer does this for you. They give you a copy to take to DLT so it can be added into the blue book. 5 year inspections after that.
