King's birthday - No alcohol ban?

Featured Replies

That's a good news ! But this information is for Phuket, will it be valid in Bangkok ?

Alcohol sales are usually banned on religious holidays...this comports with the informations from this Phuket police district. The Kings birthday and Constitution Day are national holidays so alcohol sales are allowed.

Don't know for sure about entertainment venues but as they're mainly involved I alcohol sales I would imagine they'll be open.

Ive been here for a few birthdays and am sure they have all been no beer days.

Buy the alcohol before today midnight if you cannot be without it.

Service as usual in my local Sukhumvit watering hole, no restrictions.

Yeah all the clubs were opened last night/this morning in BKK. Guess tonight will be the same smile.png

Interesting story that the OP linked. I raise a glass as a way of showing respect.

Thanks for the intel, everyone.

Disappointed to find the bars closed at W Market Phra Khanong Saturday night.

Plenty of places close for Father's Day to let their staff enjoy the holiday with their family. I'm surprised W Market did this though.
