They may want to keep a close watch on the Islamic Mosques as that is where the majority of the Muslims congregate...sooner or later.

Problem is if the relevant authorities get in the faces of the Imams and people administering the Mosques then it may seem like religious persecution ..even if it is for security reasons.

Cheers

Famous last words ....until ..Boom.

They would be better off to publically announce:

"The Royal Thai police will continue to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the citizens and foreign nationals alike while any cooperation and information from the public concerning ISIS issues will be taken seriously and dealt with accordingly"

Cheers

Absolutely...that is about the standard statement for any right thinking nation. You could cry for this country.

It is quite straight forward to check the immigration computers to see if anyone with an ISIS passport has arrived in the country and filled in "terrorist" in the occupation box on the arrival card.

What does an ISIS Passport look like? Did not know there was such a Country as ISIS. ermm.gif

Don't tell the police chief - it took them hours to come up with that cunning plan.

Expats don't have to worry about missing out on the Christmas pantos as one is playing out here.

The Russians say some IS are here, some local officials say ' Yes we know they are ' and others insist ' Oh No they're not '.

If the PM was a leader he'd get a grip of the BIB and other officials and tell them to engage the brain before opening the mouth. Unfortunately he's the very last one to criticise.

Funny kind of "assurance". First we are told that IS terrorists are on the loose in Thaland and their likely whereabouts are even mentioned. Then we hear that police are confident of tracking them down. Now we are told none have been found.

So have mysteriously slipped back out of the country the same incomprehensible way that they managed to slip in, or are they still here plotting acts of terror?

Your guess is as good as his.

Funny kind of "assurance". First we are told IS terrorists are in Thailand and even where they are supposed to be. Then we are urged not to worry because the police are confident they can protect the public. Now we are expected to believe the terrorists have slipped out of the country as inexplicably as they slipped in. Why do I get the feeling the police have their fingers crossed just like the rest of us?

Another Thia time issue. The document was received in October but now it hits the news in December they will finally check out the source of the document. What is missing here besides some Thai officers not doing there job. These were the ones they moved from another district. In world standards Thailand is dropping fast in every category! Junta can not fix in a life time but keeps rejecting Democracy!
