Officer shot dead in Pattani

PATTANI:— police officer of Saiburi district of Pattani province was shot dead last night while he was about to enter his house after a Muslim prayer at a mosque.

The officer was identified as Pol Sub Lt Ma-useng Sahoh, 56.

He was shot four times on the head and legs by a gunman while he was opening the fence gate of his home at Village Group 8 in Tambon Trohbon of Saiburi after returning from a mosque in a motorcycle.

The gunman then escaped on a motorcycle ridden by another man.

He died on the way to Yupharaj Saiburi Hospital.

the policeman was returning from a mosque one must assume he was a muslim and this was a race related killing but I could be wrong in my assumption we will see.
