Bangkok dinner cruise

Featured Replies

Can someone recommend a nice dinner cruise in Bangkok? I'll be with a party of 10 and we would like to avoid a bunch of kids running amok during the cruise . This would be in mid January.

Thanks in advance guys.

I have done the dinner cruise from Riverside Hotel several times and I can recommend it.

They have 2 cruises, 1 for buffet and the other a menu dinner, they are not too expensive, but not cheap either.

There is also live music inside during the cruise, we usually eat outside and enjoy the view on the way down the river, and on the way back to the hotel go inside for the live music, both leave the hotel about 7.30pm, the hotel has a web site with the cruise details.

The hotel is close to Krung Thon Bridge in Bang Phlat.

Just do keep in mind that it would be unusual for any Thai Restaurant, floating or otherwise, to refuse to seat a family with kids and just as unusual for them to tell parents to please control their children.

They just don't do that here.

Thanks guys, I knew I could count on you!

The Manohra cruise sounds like a winner. Hopefully no ill behaved children.

Have tried a few with family and friends. None of them can be recommended. In my eyes it is a tourist cheating and deception. Make farang believe that they get authentic Thai food. Farang Thai food is what it is and does not taste good in my eyes .. waste of money.

I usually go on the Yok Yor Riverside cruise at 8pm for a no frills evening.

I have done this cruise a couple of times too. Once the buffet and once the menu option. Didn't think either was great really. All that commentary in Thai and the band was way too loud for me. Didn't one of those boats catch fire while tied up to the wharf a few months back? Maybe fixed by now but the damage looked severe at the time.

I went on a dinner cruise from Asiatique on Father's day last year. I don't remember the name of the vessel or company but it was certainly a cut above the one from the Riverside Hotel Small boat, maybe enough for 40 people. I am pretty sure it was a charter job so it may not even be based there.
