Let's see your source URL. I find it difficult to believe just a few days after the attacks with about 3500 injured they would know now many non combatants were injured across Lebanon and Syria. As I said a large number of civilians work for Hezbollah, I would assume their is no alternative for them, plus Hezbollah being a component of government. -

Part of the ATO's tax structure is the fact one can opt out of submitting a tax return if one's income is below the threshold, using a non-lodgment advice form. I submitted the form three years ago. I have not heard from the ATO since. I have not filed a tax return for three years. I assume someone in the ATO looked at my returns for a few years prior to submitting the form, and concluded there would be no tax payable in future years. I would have to be reinstated in the tax system before I could be taxed again. IMO I would be too small a fish to fry. As far as Thailand goes, I have enough non-taxable pre-2024 savings to last for 5-6 years. -

Threads like this bring out the self proclaimed medical experts and insurance litigation experts. Of course none of whom are actually educated or have had matter in dealing with the subject matter. Taking statins is not in itself grounds for refusing a health insurance claim. All policies have exclusionary language and it typically refers to whether or not a condition is stable. Changing doses, or adding additional medications is usually interpreted as a new or unstable condition. In a worse case scenario, a heart attack itself may be excluded. However, kidney stones, a brain bleed, a slip and fall would all continue to be covered. Older people are more likely to be injured from a slip and fall or motor vehicle incident than they are from a heart attack. And yes there is a direct proven link between LDL cholesterol and plaque build up in arteries. High LDL cholesterol has a proven direct relationship with negative health outcomes. All the youtube videos claiming otherwise from miracle cure salesmen are worthless. It boggles the mind that some people insist that they should be covered for chronic health issues, and they expect it at the equivalent of 200 dollars or Euros a month. A day in an ICU a a decent Bangkok hospital starts at around 25,000 baht ( 790 USD/700Euro) . The argument is that the insurers are stealing their money. When you ask them if they feel that strongly about the issue, why they don't self insure, they are offended. -

Man Falls Asleep at Red Traffic Light: Sing Buri
Picture from responders. In an unusual incident early on the morning of September 22, a man was found asleep in his car with the engine running, at a red light in Sing Buri province, prompting concerned citizens to alert local authorities. The incident occurred around 06:20 when officers from Sing Buri’s city police radio centre received a report from a good Samaritan regarding a car that had been stationary at a traffic light for an extended period. The car, a Mitsubishi Mirage with an Ayutthaya license plate, had been stuck at the red light in Dong Makham Tia, Bang Phutsa, Muang District. Fearing for the driver's well-being, the concerned citizen requested an immediate investigation. Rescue personnel from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found a man, approximately 40 years old, asleep behind the wheel. The rescue team shook the locked car to wake him up. The driver appeared groggy and disoriented but was otherwise unharmed. Nearby citizens advised him to pull over and rest on the side of the road, warning him of the danger of sleeping at an intersection. The man thanked them and drove away. According to the witness who first reported the incident, the car had been idling at the traffic light since 04:45. Worried that the driver might have encountered a medical emergency, they decided to contact the authorities. Fortunately, it turned out to be a case of fatigue, with the driver simply falling asleep at the wheel. -- 2024-09-22
