I agree on Central, especially Central Chitlom, for toys, but also check out Zen at Central World for stroller and other accessories. Isetan also have a smaller children selection.

I don't like Toys R Us.

China town have some shops selling electric cars that kids can drive, some with and without remote control.

If you are looking for RTF R/C helicopters then there is a few shops in the Pratunam area, not far from Baiyoke hotel. For about 1,000 baht you can get a small 4 rotor chopper with camera and the movie resolution is actually very good.
