Hi:

Does anyone know of any Yoga classes in Pattaya area.

Location. Times. web site etc???

Thanks

Gerry

Just found this:

http://www.yogapattaya.com

I've never been because it's Iyengar style. I prefer dynamic (hot) yoga. Last time I was in Pattaya (5 months ago) there was a big complex being built on second road with yoga lessons photographed on the bill-boards outside. Keep an eye on what's going there because certainly, in Bkk yoga's getting really popular. Studio's springing up everywhere there. :o

Yes thanks, shall check it out.

I perfer Hattha style for the meditation, and breathing end of things, that still the mind, as opposed to the more physical versions. the reason, is that I do Muay Thai most days, so I want yoga to take care of the head/mind.

Was in a great Hatha yoga place in ireland last year 60% the postures, 30% meditation/relaxation and 10% breathing. It totally spaced me out, and slowed my over active mind, which is what it need.

Thanks for info.

I just moved to Pattaya. I am looking for (recent) comments about yoga in the area.

Are there any great yoga instructors giving classes in Pattaya? Is there a strong recommendation for a Pattaya yoga studio?

I want to continue my practice of power or flow yoga. I prefer a studio environment that's a lot more peaceful than California Wow, if it exists.

Thanks.

In Pattaya there is also an independent teacher who runs classes out of her own studio up near Sukhumvit. The studio is called 'Nok Yoga' and it's located in the side road off Pattaya Tai, on the right as you approach Sukhumvit Rd.

I've practiced yoga myself for some 9 years now. I go to India (Mysore) for a month each year, where I learn enough to practice at home until my next visit. I spoke to Nok when I first came to Pattaya, and she knows a lot about anatomy and can provide a good all round Hatha Yoga practice.

Good luck!
