Toilet seat coming loose.

I have 2 toilets, every now and again the seats keep coming loose, just can't figure it out, keep on tightening but they just keep coming loose. Why?

Use a rubber washer.

I never have when taking a dump but I'll give it a try, thanks I never thought of that.

The answer is very simple, the problem will be finding two more nuts. Put the toilet seat on with the rubber washer and tighten the nut down as tight as possible, with pliers. Take the second nut and put it on the same stud and tighten it down against the first nut as tight as possible. It will never come loose!
