Thaivisa has received several reports from expats in Chumpon and the surrounding area who are experiencing problems with their CAT Internet connection.

One member who contacted Thaivisa received an email from CAT confirming the outage:

Dear Mr Jxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

We are sorry to inform you that there is a fiber optic line cut and affects vast area in in Chumpon.
Our engineers are working on this issue to restore the connection, and we expect it will be back to normal tonight.

Thaivisa also received reports of problems using CAT's 3G and 2G service in Chumpon.
