Good copy shop in Mae Rim on East side of the road about a block south of the Honda dealer. They can scan it onto a thumb drive and from there you can email it, can't you?

I see by the post here you have access to a computer or smartphone. Just take a photo ( as close up as possible) and email it to them. I use it for timesheets as well when scanning isn't possible.

There are also many free apps that scan and turn into PDF documents as well.

Just take a photo with a smartphone that's very normal and accepted now when they ask for a scanned passport.

To be honest I always keep (synced to my google account online) photos in my smartphone of

Passport

Entry stamp and TM6

Credit cards

Drivers licenses

Makro cards etc

Many reasons, not least to be able to argue a fine for not carrying passport, but also because a lost wallet and I have all my numbers accessible to cancel cards, replace DLs, etc etc..

Not a very good idea if not encrypted...

I'm guessing you have some form of backup of what's in your phone.

I'm not that familiar with the hi-tech aspects of smartphones, can you please share how you keep the backup.

Thanks.

No need now that you have a copy of the scan - send a copy to another email address just in case and you're good for the life of your passport.

You'll have a good quality copy of the main photo page, should anyone want to see other pages a photo will probably do. It's a good idea to have your important things available - we have scans of our passports, driver's licences, birth and marriage certificates and a couple of other things like a letter from my GP with important past medical conditions and a list of medications carried which I mailed to myself at both a Gmail and Hotmail account, if I can't get to one site I can always get to the other. If you're still in the job market, a copy of your CV and more importantly your references would probably be a good idea as you never know when you'll need access to these whilst on holiday or when working away from home. If you know how to, put them all into a zip file with a password (put a big hint at your password in the filename) to make it secure, or if not you can easily ask someone else to do it for you. This is safer than having them on a flash drive which could easily be lost or stolen, all you will need is access to email to get at them - a self extracting zip file means you don't have to have anything special on the computer you download them from, just simple email access. It's half an hour or so of time very well spent, and will only have to be updated when something changes.

Good luck with the job!

My android phone syncs all images with googles photo storage system..

So those items are at photo.google.com protected by my google account passwords..

Phone auto locks.. And I dont really consider those items that mission critical..

If you download Dashlane password manager on all yoir devices, it has a datasafe to store important docs and images encrypted and locally, hacker safe. If something happens to you (if you havent logged in for x amount of time) you can set it to email a message with entry codes to a specific person.

Bit late now but most smart phones have quite good scanner apps available that seem to do a better job of documents than the plain camera. Office Lens has already been mentioned, I use Scanner Pro by Readdle.
