JHolmesJr
Frankly, who cares who is in charge there? Veni Vidi Veni, as they say…..and then Im off to saner pastures. The good ol' general might just be playing a saddam hussein-esque role in all this. Keeping a tight control of all the peasants who want to go off and do their own thing…unchecked. If anyone can root out corruption and the corrupt way of thinking among these folks, it might be the General who has the best chance. The politicians are just despicable. I give the good general a 'like'.

Some guy was squalling (as they do in Arabic songs - it had subtitles), "It's about the love Sir! The love between you and us" over and over and over. Saddam won one hundred percent of the vote. He was the only candidate. If anybody can ever find a clip of that on Youtube please PM me with the link.

For any normal law abiding person here, this is about the best ever government since Khun Anand Panyarachun briefly took the reins many years ago Forget Khun Anand, he was wet, lefty liberal, this is about the best ever Government since Thanin Kraivichien in 1976! Yes, Thanin fits in pretty well with the current bunch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanin_Kraivichien After his taking office, he sent police special forces to notoriously liberal book shops, and ordered the confiscation and burning of 45,000 books, including works of Thomas More, George Orwell and Maxim Gorky.[4]
jaywalker
I think it's fair to say that nobody believes or considers Facebook to be a reputable source when it comes to polls or information. Garbage. ....... The last poll I saw measuring people's happiness(I think from memory it said 98% of people were happy) came from another source that is probably less reputable when it comes to polls or information(or anything else). While I utterly despise Farcebook as a STUPID idea (sharing everything with all and sundry), the masses do seem to love it. The company makes billions off of peoples' opinions and interests. That's how they sell advertising. I'd say it's the most accurate poll one could ever hope for.

I'd wager that 80% of the world are wet, lefty liberals, who have no idea what a liberal is, which is NOT a liberal, but a socialist. When you tell them that, they'll just pout like some beach vendor/pest in Pattaya if you don't buy their shit. They have somehow hijacked the name though, so now we are called Libertarians. Happy Grumpy
91% unhappy with a regime/system that has dismantled the previous 4 democratically elected governments, and is snatching people off the street and trying them in closed military courts? nong38
Facebook is just idle chit chat, what on earth would there be on there to offend the powers that be, car crashes, people falling over drunk, animal tricks, pictures of temples etc etc, yes a grave threat to National Security. It was a pro government page! Ok I can't read Thai but www.prachamati.org does NOT look like a pro government page. I am not junta fan at ALL but let us at least be factual here. All it says to me is that this poll has as much traction as the 'Nida 99.9% happiness' polls. Utterly ridiculous. arrowsdawdle
Its about as accurate as any other poll in Thailand i presume. Was it Voltaire who said, "Presumption is man's greatest obstacle to wisdom?" Considering how local Thai polls are skewed by the threats of prison for expressing their opinions, or for publishing unapproved news, this Facebook poll is likely skewed by generals and their secretaries who undoubtedly went in and repeatedly clicked the smiley face as a countermeasure.
