Ever wonder why Sanders isn't talking about Venezuela?

A bit too close to home, eh? thumbsup.gif

Why would he discuss Venezuela?

America does not have a -3.7% GDP growth with a deep economic depression due to corruption and falling Oil prices. Bernie is not stupid enough to compare the USA with Venezuela.

Oh, my mistake. Lumping all these Socialists in one basket. Different kinds of Socialists I guess, huh? Like National Socialists which we really don't want to talk about because from murder and genocide, what exactly don't you like about National Socialism? whistling.gif

Well that sucks!!!!

Trump Quote---

Based on the fact that the Democratic nominating process is totally rigged and Crooked Hillary Clinton and Deborah Wasserman Schultz will not allow Bernie Sanders to win, and now that I am the presumptive Republican nominee, it seems inappropriate that I would debate the second place finisher,” Trump said.

The real reason we're not going to see a Trump/Sanders debate:

Democrats Fear Trump-Crazy Bernie Debate Because the “Mask Will Be Off” on Their Real Agenda

bernie-trump-debate-575x266.jpg

"Rush Limbaugh spoke about Donald Trump’s brilliant idea to debate Socialist Bernie Sanders on live TV. Rush says it scares the hell out of Democrats because “the mask will be off” if Crazy Bernie goes on national TV and reveals what the Democratic Party is all about"

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2016/05/27/trump_s_brilliant_debate_idea

Trump is being the Gentleman here now saying it's 'inappropriate' to debate the second-place finisher. smile.png

I am going to go way out on a limb here. But knowing America's history of covert action destroying countries and economies, the reason Venezuela is not brought up by anyone is because of the American involvement. This is speculation on my part. I have no proof. But I do have a history to go by.

I am guessing the US intelligence community (CIA etc) saw the passing of Hugo Chavez as a good time to destabilize Venezuela. So they did for 2 reasons. Control of oil. Second, regime change. Install a more neoliberal leader (see Brazil below)

The extremely low oil prices at present not only destroyed Venezuela's economy but also Russia's. (Pattaya's well went dry??) Along with low oil revenues to Iran. So you have 3 economies mentioned here with struggling economies mostly due to low oil prices that just happen to be 'enemies' of the USA.

Also out on a limb here (without proof):

I believe that the USA saw a way in to destabilize Syria during the Arab Spring Uprising in 2011. Syria was one of the 7 Middle East / North African countries on the USA destroy/destabilize list since the early 1990s.

I think we will also find in time, that the USA had its fingers in the 'coup' against Dilma Rousseff. Brazil has been left wing for a long time and is actively involved with "BRICs" which is a competitor to US banks and the US dollar / Bretton Woods system. The new party is neoliberal.

Dig beneath the headlines and you see a pattern of US gov't involvement in things globally. Surely this gives rise to conspiracy theories but that is in part what the powers that be rely on. Plausible deniability.

Trump/Sanders/Clinton will not address this. If you think some leader is going to come riding into Washington DC on a white horse fix this empire / imperialism, then let me remind you why Sanders and Trump have a platform today: corruption. The US government is wholly owned subsidiary of the corporate/banking/finance state. The US gov't today is the 'rented mule' for the corporate state.

Brother, the loony tunes right wingnuts are out and about today. Must have been hitting the right wing drugs pretty heavy. Some are still stuck back in the cold war, guessing the disgraced alcoholic Sen. McCarthy would be their hero. Trump won't debate Bernie, he is afraid to. I'm afraid that with the Clinton's as nominee the Democrats will not take back the Senate and may even loose more, especially in the House. Many just won't vote. There is a possibility the proto-fascist orange monster will take the White House and may the gods help the US and world should he do so. While we know the Clinton's are nothing but Republicans in Democrat clothes, we at least know what they will do, more wars, more inequality, more corporate policies. Some people appear so stupid as to want a con man to have access to nuclear weapons.................. Some interesting reading on the Clinton's and their plan to destroy what is left of the Democrat Party. Oh and the link about the sealing of a video in the email investigation speaks for itself. http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/36201-hillary-clinton-the-neocon-in-democrat-s-clothing

Great interview with Bernie on Bill Maher Show.

Bernie is chaffing at the bit to take on Trump in a debate. Put out the challenge 'bring it on I'm good to go when you are'

Explained his position very well regarding the Socialist boggie man diatribe.

Also explained his strategy on gaining the nomination. He is hoping for enough momentum and that he has better polling than Hillary vs Trump that makes it obvious the 400 Super delegates have to choose between a potential loss to Trump with Hillary or an obvious win putting Bernie up. He has polling that shows he can take Cali.

I see our real live right wingnut junkie is mainlining the right wing junk. Don't worry, a rest home for the insane is right around the corner, no rehap for right wingers. How many times do you have to be told, Bernie is NOT a socialist? Try a little research, besides faux (not the) news and bratbart. How is your hero the alcoholic, disgraced Sen. McCarthy doing these days? Surely you must communicate via a medium and/or crystal ball....lol.

Heh...y'all are still thinking this whacko socialist has a chance?

Let's get real boys... wink.png

Depends. If Bernie can get enough wins and momentum into the Convention and Hillary continues to drop in the Polls vs Trump and Bernie's numbers stay the same indicating a substantial advantage in beating Trump the Convention has to choose between the stronger candidate to take the Presidency.

Say Hillary drops -10% vs Trump in a general election and Bernie is polling +10 vs Trump in a general election and Bernie has enough momentum to force a vote at the Convention. The DNC has a choice on the day. Stick with your decision knowing she has a very good chance of losing or select Bernie who has a very good chance of winning against Trump.

They may still go with Hillary but feel they have enough attack ads and negative campaigning to wind back Trump over the General Election window. Their 'dirt file' on Trump must be bursting at the seams.

It just makes more sense to come out of the blocks with the strongest candidate and then run a negative attack ads campaign.

Good to see Bernie doing an interview. He is looking well. He has lost a little weight which is not good. Hopefully his wife is watching his diet and rest. Still waving his hands around conducting the audience. A good sense of humour. Nailing his 'talking points' staying strictly 'on message'. A seasoned campaigner.

'Feel the Bern' comrades Bernie is looking good.

Completely agree Bernie would crush at debate with Trump

And that's the problem... No upside for Trump

Even if he so how managed to crush Bernie, which don't think would happen... It would still be net loss for Trump

He is hoping for some Bernie voters to come to his side, which regardless of how the debate turns out...he may turn off Many Bernie supporters

So I do understand... But it sucks... As really would have liked to see that...

And could have helped Bermie and Hurt Hillary

Trump to scared to debate Bernie shows he is weak. Doesn't have the ticker to be President. You can't go run and hide when ISIS comes knocking. Too frightened to take on Bernie and thinks he's in with a show against Putin or Xi? Yeah right they will use him like a dish cloth. Those who wish America harm and advantage themselves must be praying to their 'gods' Trump becomes President. He's a pussy.

Bernie disclosed that Trump changed his mind on 4 separate occasions over the course of one day to a debate. It is obvious why Trump will not debate Bernie because he knows he will get flogged. People would have to turn away from their screens rather than watch Trump being slaughtered. If Trump wasn't so orange I'd call him yella.

Trump calls Bernie "crazy Bernie". There is a saying "never fight with a crazy man because you can't win". Maybe that is why Trump is afraid of him, he believes his own BS.

Bernie would discipline Trump like a master disciplines a dog who craps on the floor, rub his nose in his own filth. Trump would be barking with his tail between his legs.... I would love to see that debate. Too bad Dumb Donald won't do as he said... Again ! Flip flop flip flop flip flop ....

By now everyone is aware that Sanders is embarrassed by the collapse of Venezuela and refuses to answer questions re that country:

LEÓN KRAUZE, UNIVISION:
I am sure that you know about this topic: various leftist governments, especially the populists, are in serious trouble in Latin America. The socialist model in Venezuela has the country near collapse. Argentina, also Brazil, how do you explain that failure?

BERNIE SANDERS, DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE:
You are asking me questions…

LEÓN KRAUZE, UNIVISION:
I am sure you’re interested in that.

BERNIE SANDERS, DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE:
I am very interested, but right now I’m running for President of the United States.

LEÓN KRAUZE, UNIVISION:
So you don’t have an opinion about the crisis in Venezuela?

BERNIE SANDERS, DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE:
Of course I have an opinion, but as I said, I’m focused on my campaign.

Butt, butt, butt…you’re running for President of the United States in order to turn it into a socialist paradise like Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela. Couldn’t you take a moment to explain how that will work?

We can also cross our fingers and hope Hillary gets indicted before convention...

Do I think I will happen? Not likely.. But not because she is innocent ...

More likely she will be protected by administration to avoid prosecution ...

Although can still hope indictment comes through before convention.. As that could definitely give super delegates reason to change votes to Bernie

Last time I checked Bernie wasn't running for election in Venezuela. Most Americans couldn't point to Venezuela on a map. Venezuela economic woes have been explained to you 20 times and nothing to do with Socialism. Their economy is based on the price of oil. If oil prices drop so does their income. It wouldn't matter if they were a Timocracy they would be in deep trouble. -3.9% growth rate. Big trouble.
