craigt3365
A World Bank survey results showed that 83.5 per cent of the workforce in Thailand is unskilled. This puts Thailand's skilled workforce at the lowest proportion among other Asean countries. http://www.thailand-business-news.com/asean/52226-83-5-per-cent-workforce-thailand-unskilled.html
KittenKong
What about the other 16.5%? Three people came to clean my air-con the other day, from a small but specialised air-con repair/installation shop. They had hardly any equipment and the nozzle on their Karcher water spray device was broken and leaking. I would have thought that a proper angled spray nozzle would be the number one tool for such people, to allow them to get the water right onto the radiator fins from above: rather than having to make do with a straight one. They also didnt have a plastic bottle to put the cleaning fluid in and I had to give them an old water bottle. So I wonder how much is lack of skill or training, and how much is lack of equipment or tools?

Pib
Hope no one is surprised by the report. I expect the govt will just say the World Bank don't understand Thailand.
Briggsy
I drove a long way over the last few days. As I drove across the country and back, I pondered at any given time, how many people are selling garlands at traffic lights. Then I thought how many people are motorbike taxi drivers. And so on. And then this topic pops up.
