MADRID: -- Spanish police say they have smashed an ISIL jihadist cell following raids on houses in Valencia, Alicante, and the Moroccan enclave of Cueta.

Seven arrests have been made, and the suspects are being accused of offering logistic support to fighters in Syria and Iraq. Police say the leader was also asked to supply women to fighters in Syria.

Four of those arrested were Spanish citizens but were of Syrian, Jordanian and Moroccan ancestry.

Two others were Syrian and Moroccan nationals living in Spain. The nationality of the seventh man is unknown.
