Pharmacy

Featured Replies

Hello

Can anyone recommend a good pharmacy north of the city, say, Bang Kae area or somewhere near there? If you have soi too that'd be great. I know they have a pharmacy in Watson but it seems to be closed alot or there's language barrier issues. Run out of medication (simvastatin) I need so could do with finding one. Thanks!

Plenty of Pharmacy's around that area. ... just go for a wander and you'll come across a few .

As said any soi drug store will have medications like that - and even for medications they do not stock can get quickly - there is no reason to use a western name sign place - and print out the name and any of them will be able to find what you want. If you want to use them as nurse and recommend medications the language could be an issue - but for simple buying of name drugs it should not be much of a factor. Actually many can speak English quite well.

Simvastatin is quite trivial and should be available at most pharmacies.

For language barrier, print first page from Thai WiKi:

and maybe a photo of the GPO generic ("ZIMWA", 40 mg Simvastatin).

GPO is the Thai pharmaceutical organization, preferred supplier for state hospitals etc.).

Yeah actually found one inside Big C Extra. With a little Thai, and scribbling down what I needed the lady quickly produced the medicine. Seemed vastly cheaper for exactly the same medicine too
