PHUKET: -- Six people were hospitalised this morning (Feb 9) when the Phuket-bound Phuket-Hatyai bus they were travelling on missed a bend and crashed on Petchkasem Rd in Phang Nga.

Takhua Thung Police’s Lt Col Kittiphumi Na Thalang was alerted of the accident by the local Narainthon rescue centre at 1:50am.

Police arrived at the scene with rescue workers to find the damaged bus smashed into a tree.

The bus driver, Sarawuth Sooksawan, 38, from Wichit suffered two broken legs and was taken to Phang Nga Hospital along with five passengers who suffer injuries caused by the impact of the crash.

I wonder if they breathalyze and drug test them every time there is an accident?

no need to make any changes. same story. same same.

Thai drivers don't need to be pissed to have an accident. It's just par for the course.

Thought the bus crashes had gone quiet lately..... and been over a week since a report......but, true to form, they still happen!

There we go an other wannabe incompetent driver,,Lucky he will be out of action for a while,,

....isn't 'staying awake' part of the job description.....???

....'lost control of the bus after he fell asleep'......so obviously not his fault.....???

if he would not have broken legs....he would have ran away....for sure!

Wow, that hardly ever happens! And, what will the penalty be!?

The usual 1,000 baht fine ...

And if he killed someone - 2000 baht fine.
