Medications as sold at drug stores - if you know what you need see them for price. There is no requirement to see doctor or have prescription for most routine drugs.

Depends what the pain meds are. Certain pain meds are only available at hospital pharmacies.

If you name the meds, people might be able to help with price. But your question is akin to asking how much a car costs...... Definitely a range.

I had back surgery done with fusion to L2-3-4 and others a few years. Pain is killing me with the snow shoveling here... sometimes. Fell a few days ago.... I got hydrocodone before and others like vicodon and Oxycodone but they are not so cheap. How much can I get them in there... as I am going to be in just 2-3 weeks from now. Others like Advair, Proair inhaler and others

You will not be able to source the pain medication mentioned other than via a hospital.

Such medication is strictly controlled in Thailand and is hospital doctor prescription only. Further only small quantities will prescribed and dispensed.

The other medication(s) you mention are available, without prescription, from Pharmacies.

Instant release oxy codone is not available in Thailand (not pharmacies or hospitals). Extended release oxy codone was recently approved and is only available at a few hospitals as of now and is very expensive.

The only instant release pain killers available in Thailand are Tramadol, codeine, and morphine. Are you here as a tourist? Or coming as a tourist? You will have little luck getting a Dr to prescribe these. Better bring them from home.

No.... If it is instant release oxy codone he will not get it anywhere. It is not approved for use in Thailand. Extended release formulation only at a few select hospitals as of now.

That is fine. If not I can see my othopedic doc before coming. I can get a 1 mth supply since I have extensive medical case history and have Blue cross blue shield and copay not a lot. I thought maybe BKK might be cheaper.

Be aware that you need a permit to bring in narcotics and are limited to a 30 day supply.

See http://permitfortraveler.fda.moph.go.th/

Depending on what your diabetic meds are, might be cheaper in Thailand -- metformin for example is readily available here at very low cost.

asthma meds, probably not, in fact selection of inhalers is rather limited
