The abrupt welcome on my 3rd Visa Exempt
Just my 2 cents, right now it is high season and the staff are probably very stressed. I would give them the benefit of the doubt, but yeah... I have also had my fair share of uneasy conversations at Immigration. I always feel tense and nervous interacting with them, and this mostly boils down to previous "interrogations" for staying "too long" in Thailand. Next trip I am aiming to arrive with a DTV to avoid all this. As the OP wrote, if there only were some clear rules. Maybe the new ETA will bring some clarity. In the video below the guy on the left says that the alarm bells will start ringing after 3 VE:s per year, and then you get blocked by the system. After that you have to apply through the e-visa portal and obtain a real visa, not exempt. I don't know what he bases this on, but it seems he knows a bit more than usual. You can have a look here: -

Ceasefire agreed.
As seen on Al Jazeera the ceasefire agreement has been signed in Doha. Still needs to be approved by the israeli government. Biden didn't take long to come out and claim the agreement was due to himself, LOL. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2025/1/15/live-israel-launches-fierce-strikes-on-gaza-as-ceasefire-deal-moves-closer Israel and Hamas have agreed a ceasefire starting on Sunday to halt the devastating 15-month war in Gaza, Qatar’s Prime Minister says. -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
Two things, is there a tax form online (in English) that a individual can fill in. Any medical visits/operations, you can claim on the said form. I was a qualified bookkeeper in the UK, so there is no way I will be going to any of these so called professionals, pretty sure I will know more than them -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
All of the money that I wire to Thailand and use to fund my credit cards comes from savings in previous years accumulated after paying US taxes on them. I don't bring in any funds assessable for Thai income tax. If worldwide income is assessable in the future, I may have to file. I've never seen a Thai tax form and wouldn't be able to read it anyway. I wonder whether there is a foreign earned income deduction available.
