Laos Visa On Arrival

Featured Replies

I am going to Laos on Friday and would like to know "for sure" what the visa on arrival fee is for UK passport holders. I understand that the fee has risen to 35 USD for Americans and to 42USD for Canadians. Has any UK passport holder entered via the Nong Khai 'Friendship Bridge' in the last few days, and if so, how much was the visa?

On September 27th at Chong Mek it was 1,700 Baht for UK passport + 70 Baht "Overtime payment". No receipt.

To exit at Savanakhet was 100 Baht "Overtime payment" - with receipt issued.

Cheers,

Couthy.

Far as I know its samesame for all furriners: US$35

I don't think they care about your passport, they just want the hard currency.

Thanks for the replies. I got a 30 day visa on arrival in Spetember when I entered Laos and paid 30 USD but it appears that since October 1st the prices have been bought into line with the visa price at Embassies and Consulates.
