This story is running in the Pattaya News forum and I shan't repeat it here, but the gist of it is that a Frenchman was detained by Pattaya police for alleged overstaying and he suffered serious injuries whilst in police custody, requiring hospitalisation. A police investigation concluded "that he began convulsing and sustained the injuries after falling to the ground"
