NKorean media: Kim says country has miniaturized warheads

PYONGYANG, North Korea (AP) — The official North Korean news agency says the communist country's leader Kim Jong Un met his nuclear scientists for a briefing and declared he was greatly pleased that warheads had been miniaturized for use on ballistic missiles.

In a report dated Wednesday, the KCNA news agency said Kim told the nuclear researchers that the stronger the country's nuclear strike capability, the more effective it will be as a deterrent to aggression.

Pyongyang has previously claimed it has nuclear warheads small enough to put on long-range missiles, but experts have questioned such claims.

North Korea warned Monday of pre-emptive nuclear strikes after the United States and South Korea began holding their biggest ever war games.

Tensions remain high after North Korea's recent nuclear test and rocket launch, which prompted the United Nations to adopt tough new sanctions.

I simply don't understand why the media gives so much credence to this guy. It just gives him more legitimacy. He's a lunatic with delusions of grandeur. And no, I don't believe they have nukes, much less miniaturized warheads.

How small are these little heads you ask? They were fashioned after the miniaturized size of Kim's little pee pee...and will have about the same results as Kim's sexual escapades...lacking in satisfactory results...

To quote Wikipedia:- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/KN-08

The KN-08 was paraded again to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Korean Workers Party on 11 October 2015. In this parade, the missile featured a modified smaller-in-length but larger-in-diameter third stage plus re-entry vehicle section design, which has led to suggestions that North Korea might have perfected nuclear warhead miniaturization.

To quote Scott Lafoy:- https://www.nknews.org/2015/10/analysis-redesigned-kn-08-missile-unveiled-in-military-parade/

The KN-08 mobile missile system on display at the October 10, 2015, parade in North Korea is significantly different from the KN-08 missiles displayed at all previous parades. The changes visible in the KN-08 design include a shortened missile, either a new nosecone or a shroud, and indicate a possible basis on the Russian R-29R missile. It is apparent that North Korea is continually researching and upgrading its ballistic missile designs.

A clear and present danger, that must be taken seriously.
