Bill Wyman: Ex-Rolling Stones bassist diagnosed with cancer

LONDON: -- Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

A spokesman for the musician said: "He is undergoing treatment and is expected to make a full recovery as it was caught in the early stages."

Born William Perks in Lewisham, London, the star was a member of the Stones from 1962 until 1993.

I was impressed, as a kid, that he played bass vertically! (I'm 61)

But, as they say, bass players should be heard but not seen!

If that's true, its hardly surprising his prostate decided that enough is enough.

Absolutely true. Her name was Mandy Smith, I remember as I young lad it was in all the newspapers. It was completely accepted by the media, so why he has not been arrested when we now have guys in jail for touching someones breasts 40 years ago is a bit of a mystery.
