he owns a dive company down there in naklua.

short fat dude and used to be my partner in my dive business on koh tao.

haven't seen him since 1993.

anybody out there know this guy. ?

he's been in pattaya for ever and was one of the original punters.

What was the name of your dive business on koh Tao Terry ?

we were the second dive shop on koh tao in 1988.

we were called ban diving centre named after out thai partner "BAN".

3 partners, 1 thai, 2 farang.

ban, bob and terry. any veteran of the birth of diving on koh tao will know those names.

1st shop was koh samui divers.

3rd shop was big blue.

im the only original left from those days from ban diving.

bob left the island in the mid nineties, i sold my share in 1995 and BAN was assasinated by the the thai mafia in early 2002.

the business is now huge and being run by his thai wife.

not much use to BAN as he's dead.

ive got a million stories on koh tao and will one day put them down on paper.

also original photos from 88.

absolute paradise and i was very privilaged to be a veteran of those very early years on koh tao.

will retire on koh tao within a few years.

I didnt know the origin of BANs ... It is by far the biggest dive school on Koh Tao now ... huge ... Let me know when you are in Bangers as I wold love to see some of those early photos
