Hi I have got the affidavit from the Embassy of Singapore for my marriage today.

Now I have to get it translated and bring to the MFA at Chaeng Wattana for it to get endorsed before i can register my marriage.

My question is I've read I can get it translated at the MFA.

1. Can I?

2. How much would it cost me? (read that its about 200baht) which translation service or company should i go to for the best service in the shortest time possible.

3. how long would it take? (1hr?)

4. Read that there is an express service for endorsement by the MFA that cost 800 baht which I can get it done on that day, I have to get it send it b4 12 noon, is that true?

I am planning to go there next wednesday. will try to get there as early as possible as I see that they are opened at 8.30am.

What else do I need to prepare besides, the affidavit, my passport, money, my spouse to be, her passport n id.

Does anyone has any experience with this? do kindly share and let me know what I should look out for.

Thanks

I suggest you have the translation service do the MFA certification for you. The fee they will charge would save you lot of time and effort required to do it yourself.

How did you get the CID cert ? Was that done in a day and also the work permit clearance for your Wife in Singapore

Hi Lawrence I did the Certificate of Clearance in the morning at Cantonment Complex. Check their opening hours. Monday to Friday. You should be able to get it within a Week. There will be an sms sent to you. its 55 SGD.

and the for the letter from MOM you can write in to their email because there is no office department you can go to, to get it actually.

write in to m[email protected] stating your purpose and scan and send in a copy of your spouse to be Thai ID and Passport. This is free.

for all the exact steps to get your affidavit.

if you are in Thailand now. I suggest giving yourself at least 2 weeks in Singapore to get all your necessary documents.
