PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN:-- A man has been arrested after 47,000 methamphetamine pills were seized in the Thongchai district of Bang Saphan, Thaivisa News reports.

Pol. Col. Chatchai Ruenmek, Deputy Commander of Prachuap Khiri Khan announced the arrest of known drug dealer Mr. Prasan Khoomwong, nicknamed Beer.

The arrest came after police picked up a 15 year old boy who was found to be in possession of 17 yaba tablets. During questioning the boy reportedly confessed that he was part of Beer’s drug dealing network.

Police then obtained a warrant to search the house where Beer stayed and inside they found 47,000 yaba pills.

Pol. Col. Chatchai also revealed that Beer had only recently been released from jailed. He was found to be in possession of high strength ‘apple’ yaba tablet. Police have sent a sample of the seized pills for testing to try and ascertain the origin.

Mr. Beer said, “After I’m out from the jail I decided to go back to do the same bad things [drug dealing] because I don’t know what else to do. I normally hid the tablets in different location but on that day they were at home and that’s why I’m arrested.”

Beer remains in police custody pending further legal proceedings.

This is a massive problem in Thailand, but fixing the lottery ticket price is more important.!

I am under the impression that most drugs come from Myanmar and are transported south through Thailand. If this is so a massive effort should be made to keep the drugs from entering Thailand. Maybe the new government in Myanmar will be more cooperative but I sense their military is "too involved"

They crack very quickly in Thailand. I haven't read once where the perp refused to turn in his boss.
