Two die of suspected hot weather

HUA HIN: Two people died of suspected heat in Hua Hin and Phrae province on Friday.

One of the victims, Pol Senior Sgt-Maj Amnart Ditsorn, succumbed to his death at a concrete table in front of his house in Samore Prong housing estate in Hua Hin municipal area.

Mrs Chuthaporn, the victim’s wife, told police that Amnart had just returned from visiting a friend. She said he was sitting on a chair to take a rest and, out of a sudden, collapsed unconscious.

Police suspected that Amnart might have died from the hot weater.

In another case in Muang district of Phrae, a man was found dead in a dried rice field. The victim was later identified as Mr Ruangdet Kadeeloke, 59.

The victim’s wife told police that Ruangdet complained of the hot weather and thirsty. She said she went to fetch a bottle of water for her husband but when she returned to the rice field he was already dead.

Police said Ruangdet suffered from epilepsy and might have died from the extreme hot weather.

When will they know for sure if the weather was hot?

Whilst there will be critics of your post citing respect for those who tragically died, I too was drawn by the poor English and the knowledge that you don't need native proof readers here.

"...you don't need native proof readers here."

Native proof readers?

Maybe you meant that you don't need native English speakers as proofreaders. I suggest you read through a sampling of posts made on Thai Visa by NES, including those posters seeking employment as NES English teachers. That should quickly disabuse you of the notion that a NES proofreader would necessarily be the answer to the problem.

Perhaps their thermometer's are not working?

dying of heat and cold has nothing to do with thermometer.

just with the problem that the body encounter during operation to be able to operate within the limits it is defined for to operate.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_stroke

Heat stroke, also known as sun stroke, is a severe heat illness, defined as hyperthermia with a body temperature greater than 40.6 °C (105.1 °F) because of environmental heat exposure with lack ofthermoregulation. This is distinct from a fever, where there is a physiological increase in the temperature set point of the body. The term "stroke" in "heat stroke" is a misnomer in that it does not involve a blockage or hemorrhage of blood flow to the brain. Preventive measures include drinking plenty of cool liquids and avoiding excessive heat and humidity, especially in unventilated spaces such as parked cars that can overheat quickly. Treatment requires rapid physical cooling of the body.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the United States publishes a QuickCard with a checklist designed to help protect from heat stress

  • Know signs/symptoms of heat-related illnesses.
  • Block out direct sun and other heat sources.
  • Drink fluids often, and before you are thirsty.
  • Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothes.
  • Avoid beverages containing alcohol or caffeine

Man your hilarious.

Sorry I skipped the RIP. I think Buddhists prefer reincarnation.

Not all schools of Buddhism or all Buddhists believe in it no. I would expect someone with a top-hat like that to have better manners, maybe I expect too much, empathy being one

Oh my people. My comment was on the ridiculous headline. I said nothing about the people who died. But feel free to be offended, it costs me nothing at all.

this reminds me. does anyone figure Musk may send some Goldens too? this Sept he says he will reveal his Italian restaurant plans and "new city" at some place in Mexico. I hope so. not just dairy cows. Golden retrievers are big and eat a lot but it's sad enough as it is and it's less far off as time still goes by. you can tell just how not far off by how big the whoppers from Christiana Figueres are getting to be.

Absolutely agree about the stupid headline. I don't think you would see too many death certificates in western countries with "hot weather" as the cause of death.
