Staff only wearing bikinis so the BIB spring into action as this is bound to anger the PM.

Meanwhile out on the highways ... !

Wow! The Thai hypocrisy is amazing.

They were not topless? I would complain too. The whole country is going down the tubes.

When will ' The Burqa Bar ' franchise be opening nationwide ?

Second question, will they be permitted to sell alcohol ?

Patrons complaining..... ? thats the worst excuse

Looks like somebody have not been paying up on their "tea-money"

A bar with a pool and bikini babes... I am interested.

major crime solved again.

tea money task force strike again.

must be time for another beach road ladyboy round up.

Thank god for the BIB , i can sleep easy tonight knowing they are protecting me from bikini clad women, more hardened criminals are now off the streets.

It's illegal? Can't see why.

The bar is on soi 6, dont know what the pool has to do with it.

The "raid" was only becuase of that video doing the rounds where a drunk american guy gives a bar girl oral almost out on the street.

BIB only really do it so the majority of the Thai public remains semi clueless about what goes on in soi 6

A few lame fines, nothing else to happen until the next vid appears on social media

Thai culture. Farangswho don't live in Thailand don't realize how puritanical it really is. Bangkok is not Thailand (neither is Pattaya). When I first came here a farang walking hand in had with a Thai woman would be arrested for PDA, Public Display of Affection. The girls at the Thai Heaven and other R&R bars on New Petchaburi Road could not go outside dressed the way they were inside the bar. They would have been arrested. In those days it was more Saw Haw, the Military Police, enforcing these laws (they still run protection rackets in Klong Toey Market, but they're much less visible). That was when Kittikachorn and Prapas were running things. It's one of the reasons I'm never happy seeing the Army taking over again, though I admit Chatichai Choonhavan's corruption was so egregious it practically invited the coup -- seeing him get away with it made them greedy. Well, we're probably going to have to live with them for another thirty years. Or until the next coup.

The Passion Bar is in Jomtiem. There is a map on their Facebook page.

Yep, and the category "bar" is misleading.

It's a "Gentlemen's Club" whistling.gif kind of a pool villa.

More such clubs than gentlemen in Pattaya.

There is also an error here:

a group of patrons complained to police regarding staff members being clad only in bikinis.

Must read:

a group of patrons complained to police regarding staff members being clad only in bikinis.

Ir was all a big misunderstanding.

Passion Gentleman’s Club Raided in Songkran Party Bust

post-247607-0-98317000-1460868630_thumb.

PATTAYA: At 9:00 PM on the night of Saturday 16th of April Passion Gentleman’s Club situated in Jomtien, Pattaya was raided suspected of operating without a valid license.

Mr. Chakorn Kanchanawatta – Banglamungs District Chief Officer, Mr. Prapan Pratumchumpoo – Deputy District Stability Department, Junior Lieutenant Porasit Chitramwong – Deputy District Defence Department and Police Major Somkiat Seumklang – Chief Operation Banglamung District planned an operation specifically to target Passion Gentleman’s Club located in Pacific Jomtien Village, as they felt the club was flaunting the rules advertising a lingerie party for Songkran despite having been previously raided and closed.

Police officers and members of the army arriving on the scene found a spacious house converted to an entertainment service, equipped with swimming pool and surrounded by a high wall. Once inside they discovered the building consisted of 3 zones holding many tourists and bar goers sitting around enjoying themselves, drinking alcohol and listening to loud music.

Police also discovered around 20 women escorts, although once their identification had been checked, none were found to be underage, however the gentleman’s club still doesn’t hold the required permit.

A Miss. Dokeuang Ngernluan, stepped up and claimed to be the owner of the bar. The 33 year old Thai woman told officers that she had rented and converted the house by spending 150,000 monthly and moreover most of the customers were friends of her boyfriend and that the 3 rooms upstairs are for her staff, not for the purpose of prostitution.

A post containing a link to a video posted in Nov 24, 2014 has been removed, not related to the current situation anyway.

In reply to the raid in Pattaya as a result of the Songkran Crackdown.

Nothing to that effect has happened up in Isaan. Bikini Clad dances still on the Morlam stage.

(I do believe the complaint was initiated by customers who were offended by the bikinis)

On their Facebook page: "Due to unforeseen circumstances Passion Club will be CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
...... we apologize for any inconvenience ......"

WHAT A JOKE!

Hey you Pattaya One word wizards. Have you ever heard of a relative clause?

Instead of writing, "...the popular amongst expatriate residents Passion Bar."

Try something like....the Passion Bar, which is popular with expatiate residents.

What you wrote is awful. You've being playing with that little site of your for years now. Isn't it about time you learned English?

Perhaps you would prefer to contact Pattaya One and query them about their writing mistakes, here's the contact details to Pattaya One:

i love the flesh coloured body stockings the mor lam dancers wear at temple events

bumping and grinding in body suits on 40c days

some are damn fine looking

Check the Passion Club website. Saturday is lingerie day and I believe another day is bikiini day. Not exactly a big secret. Don't believe for a second that a customer complianed because the girls were in bikinis - unless there is a Mormon youth group in town and they thought they were attending a "Passion for Christ" presentation. The website today says closed due to "unfortunate circumstances" or some such lingo. My first thought when I saw the website was "somebody forgot the little bag".
