Ok I'm now in the process of spliitting from my Thia G/F.

The problem is I really like the laid back atmosphere in Hua Hin, however the soon to be Ex :o was born in the town and knows just about everyone so I cant go back for quite awhile. So come on guys where can I go on my next visit? I go to Pattaya and Phuket but really want to find another small town like Hua Hin anyone know of one?

There is no place like Hua Hin. Where can you find so many trollers? Nowhere outside Hua Hin, I think,... :o

I just knew you would say that, Brue :D:D

Well, I would agree with davethailand. I kind of like Rayong.

There's a little town just north of Chaing Rai that'll be the perfect spot. Real quiet, and all you hear is the sucking sound on the pipes around there.! :o

Yes I do, Bangsaen. It's a long swim from Hua Hin, 45km North of Pattaya on the coast. The touted local major poors a lot of money into the infrastructure of the town, so it is quite nice. It's very laid back, except on Thai holidays and not too many Falangs there. :o

Or maybe try Samui? Bo Phut is a laid back "town" and if you want some fun (since your're single again), Chaweng is only 5 min. away (10. min back).

I have tried to figure this out from the content of the posts but I am now forced to display my ignorance..."What is a 'troller'?" :o

Whatever it is I surley don't want to be one...do I???

krabi is a small town that runs at a slowish pace.

I agree. I really like Krabi and if possible that will be the area of Thailand I would like to retire to. Providing the pulo does not have a head quarters there by the time I retire.
