Thanks Shaggy - this was taken at the Phi Ta Khon festival in Dan Sai. Google it if you're not familiar with it. It occurs once a year,  and only in Dan Sai,  Loei. Apart from the unique masks in the festival the people cover themselves in mud,  representing events in the past. The most common pics you see of the festival as below.

Photo taken at the weekend - single reflector plus natural window light, and desaturated a bit to suit the demands of the model who thinks her skin is too dark .... sigh!  I prefer the original, but would not be allowed to post without editorial review by the model.

A few recent shots (last week) of my girlfriend. Hiking through Pha Taem National Park. She was happy most of the time, but became a little frustrated with me scrambling across some cliffs towards the end. Hence the last couple of shots. For some reason, I prefer these to the more typical 'smile at the camera' approach :-)
