Diego Costa really is a thoroughly odious shit. Provoked the whole thing and gets a player sent off. Disgraceful.

I can't but agree it's usual fair for Costa.

Another great example of weak incompetent refereeing too

Much better performance today from key players who sat out the mid week CL game. Created much more today and Hazard looked back on it?

Christ you're an optimist! You only looked half decent when they were down to ten men and even then Arsenal were still giving it. The best Chelsea player on the pitch was wearing a yellow shirt and he was an incompetent buffoon.

I really think the tonic you needed was playing against ten men.

He must be Jose's favorite!

Costa was waving an imaginary card minutes into what we had hoped, for most, would be an entertaining game.

Instead due to his appalling behaviour, sportmanship and incompetent officials he gets away with it and the game as a spectacle was gone.

I am not in favour,as yet, of instant replays but a review should result in Costa getting a holiday.

Of course Chelsea supporter will not care "their man" achieved what he set out to do.

Carzola tackles like Paul Scoles but that was just sheer frustraion, another potentially great game ruined.

What rubbish. Arsenal played well first 10 minutes then Chelsea dominated the rest of the first half.

It's not the first time Arsenal fell apart at the bridge

costa is just awful. an appalling c*nt. but he's incredibly good at the dark arts and just winding opponents up and i respect him for it. don't bite lads, you know what he's like. and they still do. he was crap at football today but still won chelsea that game.

Nonsense. Typically blinkered view of the game. Put simply you needed to be playing ten men to allow time to settle and restore some confidence. I really liked the Arsenal attacking three with Walcott playing the striker role. they looked dangerous, until Costa managed to do his job.

Zouma though has the makings of a very fine center back.

Yes but that last bit when he just stopped, let the guy back into him and harangued the ref for a sending off was just appalling. Worst i've seen in a long long time.

And how did an experienced ref get mugged off so easily?

Mike Dean will be a loser from that affair. Too obviously taking decisions based on other than what he saw. You will find him not reffing a final or similar this season.

u are the poor loser!!!!!!!!! shifting the blame of your capitulation to the ref,

c/sea were there for the taking y/day,due to their poor form shown in the opening weeks, every other side has done it so far

except arsenal!!!!!!!!! tell me why???

leading up to costa incident, had c/sea narrowly ahead on points

but we put in our best shift in for the season, and my confidence was growing, as arsenal were showing some wear and tear

our passing was as slick as it has been this season, we were beginning to find holes in arsenal defence THEN

the big bottle came , frustrated at getting picked off etc etc , arsenal.s poor dicipline took charge, game over , red rover

sure take the easy way out, blame the ref,etc etc, the governor did this and done that!!!

but your side retaliated, simple as that, get the picture

arsenalsad.png fell for the old three card trickbiggrin.png

arsenal needs a governor or two,in your cream puff line up, bigtime, but they cost mega bucks, and wenger is the most miserable spender of modern times, and has a loot of approx 200 mil

to put things right, but no guts to do itlaugh.png

S/S read your post about my membership statussmile.png sums u up nicely, rolleyes.gif

its a lovely bridge morning to all my readers on the footy forumbiggrin.png

Sad day for football when a despicable, serial cheat like Costa not only gets away with it but gets applauded by some for his actions.

1 referee, 2 linesman,1 fourth official all "miked up" and they still get it wrong. Maybe they need 2 more officials behind the posts.

I often wonder when officials watch replays of what they have missed is there any remorse or simply lets move on

Of course if that was one of the Rugby Unions WC games last night Mr Costa would be watching from the sidelines. They rarely with video replays get it wrong

and it takes but a few seconds, actually not as long as the pushing and shoving and in your face we get in our game.

yes i suppose you did look relatively ok against ten men, better still against nine, playing at home. Don't sweat it though, you just got given a break from Mike Dean via a serial offender in arseholery.

However, it says a lot of Mourinho's concerns that at 1-0 up against ten men he subs Oscar for Ramires. Wonderfully negative again from the eye gouging not so special one.

oscar subbing was for the following reasons

A/ oscar was on a yellow,a further booking would leave c/sea with 10 men(same as arsenal)never give a sucker a even break

b/ by subbing oscar for the above very good tactical reason,it allowed ramires to partner matic clap2.gif and fabergas to take oscars place,

c/ also oscars limited playing time this season, would have been taken into consideration, ramires gave us a fresh pair of legs, whilst the f/gas jiggle retained our shapeclap2.gif

your above post, ridiculing mou.s subbing of oscar, shows that your minute football brain is intact

I saw a comment recently about a "Bungalow Bill" - he's got nothing upstairs, geddit!!!

Using the alliteration theme it is a pity there's no-one on here called Stevens as someone would be bound to come up with "Single-Storey Stevens".

Sorry about that, had a bad night.

Been watching too many US late night chat shows?

I like America/Americans, but how they tolerate the sheer waste of breathing time that is the opening stand-up political comment/joke routine is way beyond me.

Never watch any late night chat shows SS, presumably you do.

I didn't even know it was an American thing.

You seem to be pointing the finger in the wrong direction.

I posted the following comments on the Man City forum which riled the great Evan Stevens (doh!), so to make him happy, I'm posting them on the Arsenal and Chelsea forums.

I don't usually comment on other teams except ManU, but I watched the Chelsea v Arse game, just seen the Wenger and Mourinho interviews, and I feel very upset for Arsenal and Wenger for the way cheating Costa stage managed the sending off. Costa needs to be penalised by the FA next week..Mourinhos comments. ..absolutely rubbish.

Let's hope Costa is investigated by the FA this week and gets the lengthy suspension he really deserves
