John Terry made mistakes Keith, but he was still a great player.

Alonso made a mistake but whether or not he will be remembered as a great player time will tell.

I like Alonso. Yes we’ve seen plenty of errors but we’ve also seen a considerable amount of chances and goals created by his attacking skills. Then there are the goals to be added to the equation.

On balance I prefer him in the team

He had a great 1st season under Conte and was a revelation. Last year along with others not so great. This year terrible in his defensive duties imo....which is what he is....a defender.

Could easily of cost us a 1st minute goal against Burnley on Sunday, then it,s a different game. Arsenal could and should have scored 6 past us in that 1st half at the Bridge and Alonso would have been directly responsible for 3 of there goals. West Ham the (sitter) Yarmolenko missed...Alonso 2 yards behind him holding up his hand up for offside. Man u lying dead on the floor when the Martian scores.....did the trainer have to come on for him...the big girls blouse...NO.

No i don,t rate him, and him saying (he can be the best left back in the world)does nothing to endear me to him either.

Be very surprised if he gets anywhere near Terry,s goals scored or caps for his country.

He is though a Chelsea player and i will be behind, every time he takes to the pitch.....despite my criticism of him.

Doubt he will be playing tonight though, probably knackered from bombing up and down that wing on Sunday ????

Given Keith's somewhat irrational loathing of Alonso, I have come to the conclusion that Keith must be a bit thin on top. Its the hair innit Keith ?

Game being played at a pace that i don,t think Derby will be able to keep up for the full 90 mins. Would be surprised if we don,t put 3 more in there net in the next 45 mins. Good game never the less.

Well played to Derby in that second half...much the better team created better chances and should have scored. Sarri complemented them further by bringing on both Luiz and Dave...says it all really.

Shocking performance in the second half, very poor all round. Dreadful 45 minutes by us

Very very good point.........nothing to do with football at all.

Still he did have a great debut for Spain against England :whistling:

This should be entertaining...and hopefully another 3 points. Come on Alvaro...be the man coyb.

More nervy than entertaining, what on earth was Morata thinking with the last kick of the game? Hatrick in sight then a poor decision

1st half it was Chelsea,s defence against Zaha...dull Hodgson missed a trick there by not puting someone up with Zaha...gutless imo.We were though miles better than Palace. 2nd half was more entertaining and i was actully glad Palace scored...meant we had to up our game which we did. Pleased again for Morata who had no service what so ever in that 1st half. Hennessy done well to give Morata little option imo but to try and lob him, thought he ran himself into the ground and had nothing left. One day his continual efforts at throwing himself at the keeper to close him down is gonna pay off....i hope. Overall well done Chels.

No one's doubting his ability on the ball, he's just slow that's all, unless you think otherwise, in which case you need a guide dog.

Spliting hairs again!!!!!

Nice to see you playing a home fixture again son...although your predicting this season almost as bad as mine.

You can come off my iggy list lol.

I have to say that Alonso was again caught out in the early stages of Sunday’s match against CP. he left acres of space for Zaha (I think [emoji848]) to get in behind us and drive into the box. Luckily defended well by others but we could have easily been 0-1 within the first few minutes [emoji85]

I didn't think it would be long before ES would be back on here annoying you lot, good luck ????

Slightly disappointing that Hazard might play tonight given that this game in reality is a dead rubber and the Everton game is an early ish kick off on Sunday. Even if we were to lose we would still be long odds on to Qualify. Looking forward to tonight/mornings game all the same, hope Emerson has a better game than he did against Derby, where i just think he tried to do too much. Kojak to score his 1st goal for us tonight..

Ahhh I see
The ES version is Kovacic[emoji106][emoji2532]

It was a carbon copy of his last howler at pretty much exactly the same point in the game, first couple of minutes

Not a good game to watch but you were well unerdepar and still won. Bate  didn’t deserve anything, they were so defensive.

No intensity or pace to our game whatsoever which was understandable, I suppose, considering the lack of importance of the game. Giroud feeding off scraps while we passed the ball amongst ourselves in midfield as Bate sat back, but his goal was a blinding header from a terrific cross by Emmo'.

Yeah it was a good cross and great header. Bit more team bonding on an away day/days and a game of footie thrown in. Just cant be that lethargic on Sunday....Everton will already be setting there stall out to get a point.

Got to take the positivies,no goals conceded stiill unbeaten and never looked like getting beaten.

Hope some players can get a bit of a rest in this next break.....before we go again.

Off to the driving range ????️‍♂️

aint lookin for an arguement, but with your owners stance and now this possibility my 'gut ' is tellin me its a club one step away from a crisis ,an over  reaction? thoughts guys

Read your comment. Read the link. Didn't see any logical progression to your comment of "crisis".

Maybe you can explain 3minus2 why you think "its a club one step away from a crisis".

A couple of dodgy results away from division 3 could have brought about a crisis, nothing to be concerned about here for me.

I can envision some transfer bans, not just for Chelsea but other clubs as well.

After Chelsea signing Torres , Batysuai , Bakoyoko and Morata and Zappacosta for 210 Million quid , Chelsea deserve a transfer ban for that alone
