place to safely fly drones.

Featured Replies

Hi.

i live in bangkok on the south western side near wong wian yai bts.

im looking for open places you can fly quadcopter drones with not many people around.

like an open field. except sanam luang i couldn't find any.

thanks.

I once saw some Thai guy flying his drone in the air while standing on the sidewalk of Sukhimvit Soi 2. The drone didn't crash or hit anyone & he didn't get run over by any cars either lol

parks are usually ok, but be careful if you fly above/nearby statues of kings... got kicked out of Lumhini park by overzealous park guards claiming that it's impolite to fly above the king's head. The funny thing is the BTS tracks are higher than that statue ;) Also don't fly around temples and just use your common sense and it should be ok!

Safe flying and have fun!
