I have some incompetent perforator veins in both legs and this has caused a venous leg ulcer in right leg and severe numbness in both lower legs (according to various Drs at Khon Kaen University Hospital)

The hospital want to carry out a procedure to tie off the incompetent perforators under general anaesthetic, but as I have heart problems they want a cardiologist on standby and this has got me a bit nervous of "going Under"

I have now discovered on internet that there are less invasive options available now such as RFPA or TRLOP which are done on outpatient basis under local anaesthetic.

My question is whether these procedures are available anywhere in Thailand, preferably up in Khon Kaen or Udon Thani

Thanks for any advise.

If you have already been to KKU and they are not able to do this then you will likely have to come to either Bangkok or Chiang Mai

in Bangkok: http://yanhee.net/varicose-veins

In Chiang Mai: http://www.legveinclinicthailand.com/en/about-dr-kittipan.html

Gte all test results etc including doppler images to bring with you. You an do an online virtual consultation with yanhee and probably also via email with Prof. Kittipan. Be sure to mention your cardiac problems.
