7/11 keeps giving me these "stamps", what do I do with them ?

Recommended Posts

I never really paid much attention to stamp collecting, but it seems these stamps at 7/11 are like gold bars. Mrs Cockwomble has manged to collect a whole pile of them over the past few months, but I cant seem to get her to explain what they are for.

Are they like some of the old co-op stamps they had like when I was a young lad back in the 70's?

I don't think 7/11 operate funeral services, so I should be alright.,

Collect 50 and you can obtain a Thai driving license.

I would think that 50 is far too many for something so worthless.

Do 7/11 ofer Funeral Services like Co-Op?

To save on costs they just dump your lifeless body in a slurry pit. tongue.png

What you do with them is give them back to 7-11 on one of your future visits

They are worth 1 baht each

So yes while I do not collect them or rarely even have them given to me I did ask about them once

Give them to someone less fortunate than yourself. I am sure that a child would be very grateful to receive any unwanted coupons from you.

Well Missus Cockwomble is in charge of the stamps, I just pass them to her if I have been down to 7/11 for an evening out on the patio with a few of the locals. The collection is getting quite big, so I wonder if she will cash them in, or get some item free of charge.

Exactly that.

You get them in place of small change (when they run out of it?).

I once wondered about a billboard at the wall with many of those stamps attached/fixed.

It was obviously for/from a local wat (temple).

Hanging around outside a 7-11 giving out gifts to kids is hardly the best advice that I have seen on Thai Visa.

However, seemed to work for Fred. blink.png

Who said anything about hanging around outside a 7-11????

If that is the first thing that springs to your mind, you need help!

I am sure that children in the extended family, children of neighbours, or children in an orphanage etc would be grateful. Or if not arrange for all your friends and family do donate all their coupons to a school.

As me and Missus Cockwomble are opening a service station, the straws will be useful for our clients when they order drinks.

Maybe if my posts included custard pies and a bit of slapstick you will be able to understand the humour. crazy.gif

I collect them avidly and pass them to my maebaan... She always smiles when I do that. I asked her once what she did with them and she replied that when she had enough she shredded them for bedding for her hamsters as the the hassle of collecting them and sticking them on cards was too much just for a cuddly toy.

You can cash the stamps in for straws

Put 25 in your passport and you get to see the immigration officer at departures do a tap dance (not lap dance)

;)

If you put them in your passport you may be arrested for bribery, they take that very seriously. LOL what am I saying.

You may get an extra 25 minutes extension.
