Recommended Mouse&Keyboard for Repetitive Strain Injury

Featured Replies

I have got really bad repetitive strain injury from years off working with computers. My right hand and wrist has been sore for a few months but its got to the stage now were i can hardly move it. Am using my left hand to type and control mouse which is slow. Anyone one with a similar problem recommend any computer equipment that can help?

yes,

Logitech wire less track ball mouse, you only use your right thumb to move the mouse

an a Isku/FX muticolor keyboard

you can get both from "invadeIT"

I use both, hope this helps

..Ive got a button with that on it.

See my reply to your other post on the subject. Good luck.

I use a wireless rapoop 3100 / 5GHz mouse.

Glides and scrolls easily.

I found other makes to be too small causing me to "grip" the mouse or too big stretching the palm.

I dont have to use a lot of finger hand pressure to operate.

It fits perfectly for thumb and little finger ( or little and 4th finger ) for guiding.

It's shape is quite different to Logitech ( which I used in the past ) et all.

I do not use a keyboard mouse.

Mind you that's for my hand shape.

Sorry no suggestions about keyboard.

Good hunting.

Don't forget to check your seat (position), position of mouse and keyboard (and display).

This is the basic precondition to minimize strain.

Might lead to some invest.

One bit of advice I can offer with your mouse hand, is make sure your forearm is near horizontal when holding the mouse. If you have an arm on your chair, have your mouse at the same level.

I sat on the floor for a few months and my mouse hand was at a right angle, didnt take long for the RSI to appear.
