Dermatologist

Featured Replies

Hi, would like to know if anybody living in Ubon Ratchathani can help me locate a registered Dermatologist practicing in Ubon if any? I am living in Mukdahan and have not got access to a real dermatologist. I have actinic cheilitis and need some professional advice for treatment.

Cheers

The main government hospital in Ubon town (Sappasit Prasong Hospital) will have one. Ask if they have an after hours clinic so that you can get an appointment with a senior doc as otherwise will have long waits and be seen by a resident in training.

However be warned that this problem is rare in Thaias...and also that the fact that you have it puts you at risk for actinic keratosis/skin cancer on other parts of the body for which you should in the near future get a complete skin check. If you go back to farang-land periodially do it there, otherwise when you can, visit Pattaya and see Dr, Anna Jaruwan at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital - one of the only dermatologists in Thailand with real expertise in skin cancers.

Thanks for that. Will check out Ubon hospital and take it from there, not due to go home until later this year, may have to take a trip to Pattaya.

Cheers
