Probe panel ordered after army’s raid of an illegal gambling den

BANGKOK: A fact-finding committee has been ordered to be set up to investigate into the conduct of Suthisarn police following the raid of an illegal gambling den in Suthisarn area by military personnel.

The investigating panel is led by Pol Maj-Gen Charoen Srisaluck, commander of second division of the metropolitan police bureau.

The probe was ordered by Pol Lt-Gen Sanit Mahathavorn, the acting commissioner of metropolitan police bureau, in response to the raid on Friday night of a grocery in Soi Inthamara 22 in Huay Khwang district who was, in fact, a front for an illegal gambling den, by a military unit.

The raiding party seized over 19,000 gambling chips, a table for hi-lo gambling and 32 car registration booklets.

Neither the owner of the grocery nor any gamblers were in the illegal gambling den during the raid.

I'm fairly sure that this fact-finding committee are already aware of the facts.

And they are only investigating this one single police station are they.... well just this one until the next bubble appears in the wall paper, and then this one can be forgotten about.
