petedk Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 So, is she going to be charged with working while on a tourist visa in the same way as the Italian who was conned, drugged and robbed is being charged with overstay? After all it says she was a tourist.
mikebell Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 1000 is very cheap and undercutting the local Thai price. Throw the book at her.
Rayk Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 1000 is very cheap and undercutting the local Thai price. Throw the book at her. Cheap for a foreigner, but as with many other things in Thailand there is the foreign price and then there is the Thai price. Prostitution is no different.
Roomuck Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 So, is she going to be charged with working while on a tourist visa in the same way as the Italian who was conned, drugged and robbed is being charged with overstay? After all it says she was a tourist. She wasn't overstaying. It is not the same. The cops have been pretty good in Pattaya lately. A thaivisa myth often repeated is that the RTP don't care if Thais commit crimes against tourists but it is not the case. Also as far as tourists go this woman wouldn't exactly be considered high quality. They still have to find the Brit who robbed and drugged the Italian though. Also the three kidnapping Brits and also Brit Simon Wellings who has been on the run after his Mercedes slammed into two Thai women and killed them in Chiang Mai last month.
jippytum Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Prostitution and working without a permit are both illegal in Thailand .Is she being charged with anything ???
prakhonchai nick Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Prostitution and working without a permit are both illegal in Thailand .Is she being charged with anything ??? I dont think she actually "worked", nor prostituted herself, although that was what she intended. Bastard Thai man robbed her and beat her instead!

All these crimes are alleged not proven so they are not criminals but persons of interest in legal terms.
dunroaming Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Hardly groundbreaking news. Thai man beats up prostitute in Pattaya. Plenty of rats in the sewer no matter where they come from

He has a chip on his shoulder and likes to bash Brits whenever possible. I think his significant other has 'history' with a Brit and he don't match up......
