Insurance Question

Featured Replies

Greetings!

"Road Accident Victims Protection Co., Ltd"

Is the company that I have used to insure my motorcycle.
After reading about their services, I see that hospital expenses can be covered whether I am at fault for the accident, or not at fault.
But I see NOTHING about the insurance covering vehicle damage.

Does anyone out there know of an Insurance company that will cover vehicle damage to my vehicle, damage to the other persons' vehicle, my hospital expenses, and their hospital expenses?

Does that even exist in Thailand?

Cheers, and thanks in advance for your help!

No, but I can tell you that a lot of the Thai policies cover minute amounts for medical by western standards...like 20-30K THB....I was just reading about a Canadian down in Pukhet with bills of 4 million +, from accident on motorcycle.

Some insurance companies will construct a 'tailor made' policy in regard to vehicle matters.

I have a policy something like you describe - tailor made. It's a very big old and professional insurance company, operates all over Asia, no games when it time for any payouts.

If you want the company name etc., please send me a PM.

"Road Accident Victims Protection Co., Ltd" is the basic Por Ror Bor policy that only pays out something like 35-50K for medical expenses (I exhausted that in 15 minutes after my accident) and doesn't cover any property damage. you need a supplemental plan for that. i use Sri Audhya which covers up to about 20 million per occurrence.
