Distrilled water

Featured Replies

I have a need for some pure distilled water. I can say that I've seen it locally. Has anyone seen any for sale in CM?

Distilled water for automobile batteries available at most service stations and Big C for sure.

Have a feeling I've bought it from Pharma Choice.

Or just use drinking water, not mineral water. Basically the same as distilled water, the process is a bit more complex. However I don't know if distilled water is still really distilled or also just filtered.

Tesco Lotus have it.

Most of the 7-11s and Tesco's have it in their automotive section. It may be listed under battery water, which is distilled.

Quick related question (this came up for me recently).

Are there different grades of distilled water? I figured no, but Mr K said that the stuff for car batteries wouldn't be fit for human consumption (it was for a neti pot to flush out his sinuses, and I ended up boiling water for 5 minutes then cooling it).

I can see his point, but figure that distilled water is distilled water. Does anyone know if there is a difference?

The car battery stuff is usually demineralized water, not distilled. The process is chemical, and it just gets rid of the all the minerals without caring about anything else (Ph level, taste, residues from the process)

I wouldn't drink it, but you probably won't die quickly if you do..
