Aussie Visa - Agency / Migration Agencies Recommendations

Featured Replies

Hello

I have left Thailand and come back to Australia after living with my wife (Thai citizen) for 1 1/2 years and now want my wife and daughter to join me back in Australia.

My wife isn't the best at filling out forms and I require the services of a GOOD Visa Agency based in BKK to do / help her with the visa process (Spouse Visa).

My daughter (3mths) has an Aussie passport so no dramas with her.

Can anyone please recommend the services of a good Visa Agency familiar with Aust? also how much should I expect to pay for this service? Would like one that does Mock interviews etc

Thanks heaps Scott

May I suggest that you have a good read of the Partner Migration Book. It will inform you of all the requirements, many of which will need to come from you.

You can read an on-line PDF copy from this site.

I can't assist you with information regarding visa agencies. I've heard mixed reports about some of them.

Thanx Might Mouse, I have read the booklets and left a copy of them with my wife. Just want an agency to help her filling it out.

Don't mind getting an agency such as Siam Law etc just wanted to hear from other members as I won't be able to come to thailand to help her fill out the forms etc..

I wouldnt use an agent. Expensive! Also its easy enough to do it without them. The booklet tells you exactly what you need. But up to you!

From what i can see, the forms 40sp and 47sp are both available on the australian immigration website and can be filled out online and then printed and signed. Maybe you could fill out her form online, print it out and then mail it to her to sign.

Here is a link, i hope it works.

You can fill them out for her and then mail them to her for her to sign...

Mock interviews can be arranged but they cost a fair bit....I tend to think that if the application is genuine and she is honest then the interview will go fine.

Another question... Is my wifes 7 year old daughter (my step daughter) included under my wifes application or does she need a separate application?

Thanks

Your wifes dependant children can be included on her application...

Dependant children (defined under Australian law) must be included on the application even if they arn't travelling with Her.

I have just filled in the 40 SP and 47 SP on line forms

What an improvement on the old hand written application forms

My handwriting is not the neatest but this now our application looks much more presentable

The information icons are a great help too if you are not too sure of the question

thanks Aussiestyle for the advice
