"Apple Store?"

I just read the tread titled "Apple Thailand return for refund".

In a nut shell, the topic of Apple Store came up.

I've posted several times about this in the past and it seems to be a nearly contentious and emotional topic for some members. Thailand is loaded with Apple resellers but as yet has no store.

In the thread to which I refer above, someone posted the Singapore Apple is not Apple owned and another member disagreed with the poster. When I called Apple support a few years ago, I do know the Apple representative on the phone told me there was no Apple Store in Singapore. That may have changed.

Any thoughts on where an Apple store is in SEA and what constitutes an Apple store? I'm looking forward to Apple opening a store in Thailand in the not too distant future but from what i've read, I gather the next likely candidate for a store is Vietnam.

Closest retail Apple Store is in Hong Kong. No retail Apple Store in Singapore. They have a support operation in Singapore, but no public facing retail Apple Store. Actually I think the next candidate is probably Taiwan.
