Hi Forum I have been doing this visa thing in Penang, Malay for years now and a bit sick of it.

They always give me the same thing (tourist visas) and won’t consider a type “o” visa for me there due to my age 44.

I have showed them big bank accounts, truck ownership papers, long term leases, Thai insurance, etc but no go.

So I was considering going down to the other Malaysian visa issuing consulate in Kota Baru, Malaysia.

The do issues visas there?

They are a full fledged operation like Penang Consulate?

Can they issue multi entry visas, type “o” visas, double and triple entry tourist visas and the like there too?

Are they any better and more friendly to us Farangs?

Thanks for the help and anyone one who wants to elaborate on this plus the way to get down there from Hai Yai by all means fill me (us) all in?

With so many tourist visa's it won't be easy anywhere. Is it time to invest in a new passport. Your age is against you. The visa rules don't accommodate you yet. Or go to a Thai Consulate out of the Asia region.

As I said I am 44 years old.

Have a USA passport and it is full of visa stamps from Penang consulate for sure.

I am currently living with my Thai girlfriend in Thailand.

We have applied for a USA fiancé visa which should take another 6 months to come thru or so.

We have actually gotten the first part approved in California now and are waiting for the interview in Bangkok in about 5 weeks or so.

Thanks for the help so far.

We would like to go to the USA in 6 months I think now.
