Fishery chief says Elephant Empire still remains closed

PATTAYA: -- Elephant Empire in Pattaya still remains closed as its operating license has been suspended for 90 days, said Mr Adisorn Promthep, director-general of Fishery Department, on Monday.

He said that the operator of the tourist spot had to improve its security measure for tourists regarding the service to allow tourists to feed crocodiles from a floating raft in a pond full of crocodiles.

Mr Adisorn said that the service was risky and unsafe for tourists as an accident could occur.

However, he said that Elephant Empire would be allowed to resume operations once safety measures are put in place to the satisfaction of officials to ensure maximum safety for visiting tourists.

"however, he said that Elephant Empire would be allowed to resume operations once safety measures are put in place to the satisfaction of officials"

Loosely translated as......the right amount of money has changed hands and an agreement has been made for continuing payments!
