Police check meditation centres in Chiang Mai suspected of forest encroachment

Police are checking land documents of a meditation centre in Chiang Mai’s Hod district linked to Wat Dhammakaya after complaints from villagers in its neighbourhood that the centre may encroach on forest reserves.

Public health: 4 killed and 35 injured in bomb attacks in South Thailand

BANGKOK:-- Four people – alll of them Thais – were killed and 35 others injured in a spate of bomb attacks in seven southern provinces on Thursday night and Friday, deputy permanent secretary of public health Dr Pranom Kamthiang announced Friday.
