SURAT THANI, 13 August 2016 (NNT) – The Eighth Provincial Police Region in Surat Thani has followed up on Friday's bombing incidents and stepped up security measures throughout the southern province.

Eighth Provincial Police Region commander Pol Maj Gen Thesa Siriwatho met with the investigating teams and heads of all local police stations to follow up on the blasts in Surat Thani province.

He said more details and information were disseminated to the police officers while reports pertaining to the incidents were submitted to Police Commissioner General Pol Gen Chakthip Chaichinda. The Surat Thani police have stepped up security measures throughout the province .

The provincial police commander called on local villagers to have confidence in the authorities and to immediately inform the police of anything found suspicious or unusual.

" The provincial police commander called on local villagers to have confidence in the authorities and to immediately inform the police of anything found suspicious or unusual. "

Would that include police spending time outside of office?
