BANGKOK: -- Thais online have been wowed by a security guard that breaks the normal mold - this guy is tall, has white skin and looks more like a leading actor or a male model with a figure and looks to kill.

Some 36,000 shares of pictures of the guard were testament to his large legion of online admirers, reported Sanook.

The young guard works at the Thai Chinese TV station on CCTV on the Sri Nakharin Road in eastern Bangkok. He looks after security at the Royal Lee building.

Many online posters felt he was a "luuk kreung" (a person of mixed parentage) or even a fully fledged farang such is his whiteness, tallness and generally lithe appearance.

Thats a handsome young man and since he could very well be directed to this thread I am hoping the usual crude comments won't occur.

I bet he has a good future.

Well that is a very smart move on his part. Calculated move or not, he will be 'discovered' soon by some movie or soap opera directors! Smart and promising!

I hope the director isn't passing when he's got his whistle and shouting directions to someone parking a car.

So is he luk krung or not? that would be helpful to the discussion.

But it is a shame that the country is excited over the concept. It is pretty common for different races to have equal rights in most other places in the world. Even the right to have a low end job.

just reminded me of this old song, "your mama is your mama but your mama dont know"

DNA test him. His parents were here on a holiday and they either sold him, forgot him or he was kidnapped.

Thais seem to have a rather low "wow" threshold....

Que the nasal "wowww" sound effect that plays on tv all the time.

Hopefully not already condemned to a career of car park attendant cameo roles.

Did you think of this idea, all by yourself. Or did your cat tell you ?

It was one of the many voices in my own head......Couldn't have been the cat. Some Thai guy picked him up last week.

They could star him in the same movie with that 'ugly' pump attendant who is also in the news.

Just to prove that Thais really don't care about outward appearances.

This is a travesty. White skinned people working as security guards is wrong. He should be rich and entitled.

I hope Amnesty International comes to his rescue and releases him from this hell he's in.

Oh, and while we're at it, can we check that no handsome white skinned people are working in the fishing industry.

My god, people are simpletons.
