Hello

I'm currently based in Bangkok but will be relocating to Pattaya due to work. I'm looking for a apartment for around 3000-5000THB near central Pattaya.

Does anyone know were can I look up for shared accommodation in Pattaya? Or could you suggest me some apartment names towards the central or south of Pattaya.

Thank you

Looking for some positive replies.

Have a good day:-)

Hey

Thanks Jui for the recommendation. I checked out the RC place you mentioned yesterday. I find the location a bit unsafe for evening after 7pm return. It's way into the soi. I checked out these 2 places as well called LK Mansion and Nirun grand villa. What's your take on those? Any idea about these places and the location.

Easy to get to RC, as it's on the Baht bus route. Perhaps you are entering from the wrong soi. If you go all the way to the corner where the row of shops stand, RC is only a few seconds walk in. Local community always around in the evening.

If you enter from the wrong soi, then of course you walk all the way around.

Many different nationalities stay at Nirun. So you can go there and perhaps speak to a few different people who live there. They'll be in the shops, laundries, cafes in the complex. So easy to find. A bit of walk to and from the Klang, but on the other side, it has more of a mixed community. So perhaps you'd feel more comfortable there.

I've had Russian and Thai friends staying in those places, so that's how I know of them.

Thanks a lot Jiu. I'll definitely check it out. So far i've definitely got my mind on Nirun It's not that expensive and seems nice. Now all i need to work out is that travelling. Thank you once's again and if any new place comes in mind please do let me know :-)

Nirun is a bit far out and not on a baht bus route. If you want central i would suggest looking at the Sois leading off Soi Bhuakhao. There must be hundreds of apartments on those Sois and i know most are in the 4-5,000 range.

As you can see, it was beyond your budget in 2006. Doubt if it is cheaper ten years later. That's why I ignored that suggestion, as you had obviously made a mistake.

The only LK within your budget may be LK Living Place; http://www.soidb.com/pattaya/apartment/lk-living-place.html though I don't know if that still exists. I see only LK Grand Living Place advertised now.

I think the best is gonna be a walk in and see all these places. I'm planning on heading to Pattaya on the 1st September to have a look. hopefully taking in all your suggestions i'll be able to make a choice. The only thing is that once i start work i'll only be in Pattaya for 4 days a week,so i'm not sure if i should rent a apartment monthly base or just go for daily with a budget of 400. what's your opinion Jiu?

3000? a month? bar girls pays more than that, and you want in central? with air con and swiming pool right :D

OP already got suggestions within his/her budget so your post is not very helpful but rather arrogant.

If the job is firm and long term, do the monthly thing. A lot of the cheaper prices are for long term rents. probably at least three months. I have no idea of how a 400 baht per day room might look and whether they would clean the room and change the sheets every day.

With the monthly thing, you'd need to do your own maintenance; Cleaning room, changing sheets..

You have to decide what is best for you.

Thanks Jiu for the advice. My mind was for long term rent but then since i still will have to travel to other places and won't be staying in Pattaya all the time that's what got me thinking for daily. I'm just wondering that the electric and water bill charges are a bit higher so thinking what my total expense will be.

OMG what type of work pays so bad that you have to stay at places like the rat infested slum of Nirun or similar in Pattaya.

Why would you even consider staying in the sleaziest ghetto in the universe in the sleaziest accommodation. Sorry but I see alcohol abuse big time in your future.. It's just the way it is

If just fan and warm shower, a few hundred baht. Definitely less than 1000 for water and electricity combined. It's air conditioning that pushes the bill up. So take a well ventilated room.

If you can find a decent 400 baht per night room that you like, go for it. Depends if you'd like to have your own place, wherein you can store a few things and make it your own.

I guess you can start with daily and see how you feel about it. Might be a bit annoying if your usual room isn't available whereby you sometimes have to accept a room not quite to your taste.
