Have I been ripped off? Is it a scam?

Spent many 10 baht coins on these crane machines, always while on a date, in fruitless attempts to win stuffed dolls. 

 

Yet to see anyone win from these machines in Thailand, the crane clasp always jerking the prize loose 

 

Is this a scam? Is it possible to win?

I am certain the psi in the crane clasp is adjusted so the prize falls out.

 

My grabbing technique is excellent and I can get the doll in the clasp

You just need more practice, get another 1K baht of sip bahts and keep at it. You'll get the hang of it.

Hi, i worked in this industry and the mchines are set to give a price after a certain times it is played. we usually hd it set on 30 time's. So keep playing the same machine and eventually you win. However go to the shop and buy a stuffed doll.

Thanks! I figured they would have to be set to limit winnings. Seems like they are set for zero wins here.
Personally, not so much about winning a lousy stuffed doll...more about a moment of date fun for the girls
